Frequently Asked Questions

Can children use eye drops? Are there any age restrictions?
There are no restrictions based on age. It can be used by a wide range of people, from children to the elderly.
However, please use it only when you are able to complain of subjective symptoms by yourself. If you are unable to accurately report subjective symptoms, you should seek medical attention, as serious illnesses may be overlooked and symptoms may worsen.
Cool eye drops may also cause a painful or stinging sensation. In such cases, we recommend the use of eye drops that are less refreshing.
Can I use eye drops while pregnant or nursing?
If there is no warning in the package insert, there is no problem using eye drops during pregnancy and lactation, but be sure to follow the dosage and administration. Also, inform the obstetrician/gynecologist you are seeing that you are using eye drops and follow the doctor's instructions.
I have been diagnosed with glaucoma, can I use eye drops?
Always consult your physician before use. It is important to follow your doctor's instructions because some ingredients in eye drops can worsen glaucoma symptoms.
Can I use eye drops other than those exclusively for contact lenses while wearing contact lenses?
The ingredients of eye drops may adsorb onto contact lenses, adversely affecting the contact lenses and eyes. Except for eye drops specifically for contact lenses, remove contact lenses before applying eye drops.
If contact lenses are to be worn after the drops are applied, allow at least 5 minutes for the contact lenses to dry.
Why do I taste eye drops when I put them in my eyes?
After the eye drops are dropped, they flow down the throat through the nasolacrimal duct, which connects the eyes to the back of the nose. Therefore, some of the ingredients in the formula may have a taste. If the taste bothers you, you can reduce the flow of eye drops down your throat by closing your eyelids and holding your eye lids for a moment after dropping the drops.
How long can eye drops be used once opened?
Use as soon as possible, but no later than 2 months after opening.
Although it is difficult to make a general statement because storage and use conditions vary widely, please do not use the product if it has been stored for more than two months or if you notice changes in the liquid, such as suspended solids or turbidity, even after two months.
The expiration date on the outer package of eye drops is a guarantee of quality in the unopened state.
